Bored of drinking the same wine from the same places? Say no more…

Confused by the world of wine or looking to diversify your wine rack? Other World Wines is the answer for you. Founded by university friends Jack and Gleb, Other World Wines is a new and alternative wine delivery company operating in the UK. Their aim? To bring people together to drink delicious wine from interesting places, cutting out all the nonsense. In exploring unusual areas of the world, Jack and Gleb encountered the lesser-known vineyards of Eastern Europe as well as those further afield. They discovered that in these countries, the wine was less about the label and more about the experience; the flavours of the wine itself and how it was enjoyed. The pair reflected on their experience of wine in the UK and found it to be unnecessarily complicated, intimidating, and most importantly, always from the same places. From this, Other World Wines was born.

Other World Wines set out to handpick their favourite wines from under-represented countries, think Israel and Greece, not France and Spain. The two friends believe that wine has lost its way a bit, from it’s dawn day in Georgia 8000 years ago as a delicious way of bringing people together, it is now seen as an investment or worse, as an indicator of status. Their website offers carefully selected and tested wines, from Romanian rosé to Turkish viognier. Other countries featured include Lebanon, Israel, Greece and Georgia. Whether it be for a picnic in the park or a dinner party hosted by your wine-connoisseur friend, Other World Wines have got you covered.

Wines can be sold individually as well as in hand picked selections of three and six (there really is nothing they can’t do!) and each delivery comes delivered with a jargon-free booklet on the grape, producer and country of origin, explained in simple language so you know what you’re drinking.
Other World Wines (OWW) deliver delicious wine UK-wide from £13 a bottle with a 10% discount when you spend over £50. For further information or to buy some wine visit otherworldwines.co.uk.
