Meet the new British shoe brand that should be on your radar

From the Olivia pump in clashing neon and fuchsia, to the oh-so-pretty Tabitha mule, SIMONA RUSK shoes are as feminine as they are unique.

Unique designs and a focus on craftsmanship has already seen the brand selected for Flying Solo’s Ones to Watch NYFW couture runway show for Fall/Winter 2020.

With a delicate cameo brooch and details inspired by the interiors of stately homes like Cliveden House, they evoke an era of glamour and romance.

Simona Rusk had been working for a bank in the City when the sudden loss of her mother and her own serious illness made her pause and reflect. “I have always loved interior design, art and fashion and realised I wanted to channel that passion into creating something that would make women feel beautiful and confident. I think beautiful shoes have the power to do both.”

Her first step was to learn how to make shoes by hand herself. Now the shoes are made in a family-owned atelier in Italy. Part of what makes her shoes unique is her use of fabrics – such as a heritage brocatelle woven in the UK and re-worked in vibrant colours. Simona attributes her love of colour to growing up in the vibrant and colourful city of Johannesburg, South Africa.

Exclusivity is the ultimate luxury and shoes within the Signature collection are made-to-order and limited edition. Created using deadstock fabrics, these shoes are not only glamorous, they give new life to fabrics that might otherwise go to landfill.

“I want my shoes to be a way for my customer to express what makes them unique and beautiful.”
