As a competitive sailor, Izzey Hung has been lucky enough to have raced all over the world – the UK, Caribbean, US and Australia, where she saw many amazing places filled with many colours. The blues of the ocean and sky coupled with sunrises and sunsets never left her memory.
It was during an extended racing trip in warm Caribbean waters and sunshine that Izzey reflected on her life and what she wanted to do with it. She felt low and frustrated with corporate life, and questioned herself that there must be another way.
A close friend reminded her that “only you can change your course and that you just need to take the helm and do it”. So she did, and the idea of XV stripes came into being based on the need for change and numerous failed google searches.
